This is a historic time in the life of our community. After many years of hard work, love and dedication, our beautiful Church building has been completed. On January 12, 2020 our Church will become a sacred house, the house of the Lord, and a consecrated holy place forever through the Holy and Divine Service of Consecration (Egainia) performed by His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America.
This Divine Service is Sacramental- the baptism of our church building into a holy place. However, unlike other Sacraments, Consecration is not received by an individual, but rather it is a blessing for the whole St. Basil Community.
His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America was enthroned on June 22, 2019. His Eminence invites you to participate in the Divine Consecration of our beloved Church, St. Basil.
Together with our community, he will be presiding over the services scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 11 and Sunday January 12, ending with a Grand Banquet in his honor and in celebration of this historic event in the life of our parish.
Preparations for this magnificent event are underway. We ask that all members of the Parish set aside time to attend all of the events of the Holy Consecration.
There are many ways to help. Contact the committee Chairs or sign up as a Consecration Godparent, Sponsor the Commemorative Book and joins us for the Grand Banquet Celebration!
